【About the Work】
This work consists of a digital collage created from photographs of the human body, UV-printed onto cowhide.
A pale, slightly yellow-tinted image of a body appears within an intense red field resembling emotions in violent fluctuation. As the word "Music" in the title of the work suggests, black lines running across the surface like cracks tune the composition as a whole.
The frame was custom-designed as an integral part of the work. By emphasizing the grain and coloration of the wood, it suggests the transition of a state through the passage of time.
At the moment just before the perceptual image evoked by the work attains a sense of presence at its critical point, music can be heard.

【Artistic Philosophy】
The body transformed into a planar image, through deconstruction and reconstruction, acquires a new form and is endowed with its own depth and dynamic materiality.
I aim to engage the viewer’s own bodily memory, which retains memories of perception, and to create a unique creative space between the work and the viewer.
