This shot is part of a portfolio dedicated to the theme of slow watch.
The slow look is in turn one of the chapters of the visual literacy process (the ability to construct meaning with images),and it is a method to activate to bring order to the immense and chaotic sea of images in which we are immersed (the blindness denounced by Paul Virilio).
The subject of visual literacy is very dear to me and is an integral part of my work in recent years,so in this shot I wanted to bring out the need to look slow in order to start the process of understanding and creating meaning.
This image asks our eyes for time, it asks us to slow down, to go back, to analyze ... only then can the viewer see and interpret.
Probably a hasty look would describe this image as a gloomy melancholy crystallized in an opaque moment, but that hasty look would lose the magic of seeing instead in that same image a vital dust of absences, in the suspended moment of a silent spell.
