The Sea Sometimes Borrows a Human Face
This work began as an exploration of the relationship between the cosmos, the Earth, the sea, and the sun. As the painting evolved, a human face unexpectedly emerged from the layers of paint. Rather than resisting this subconscious appearance, I embraced it, using a palette knife to reveal and refine its form. The work ultimately explores the delicate boundary where the forces of nature and human fragility converge.
