Two years ago, for various reasons, I had to move from the big city to the countryside. My studio followed me there. After letting go of the commercial routines, my eyes began to learn how to analyze the composition and beauty of nature.
I appreciate every sunset, every reed swaying in the wind. The color of the sky each day stimulates my retina, while the waves on the lake collaborate harmoniously with the wind brushing against my face.
In this work, I try to express a sense of touch. This bird is like my reflection, passing through the image. I reflect on why I never used to notice the changing seasons — warmth or cold meant nothing to me. An awakening of Eastern wisdom slowly recovered in my subconscious, bringing a sense of calm to the painting.
I intentionally blurred the contours of the still life, using only color blocks to form a free composition. The waves on the lake blur the relationship between flatness and depth, directing the viewer's eye to focus on that one overly everyday photograph.
