This piece shares themes and forms with two series of works by Zhuma.
In 2026, Zhuma held two solo exhibitions: Original Resonance: Art Created by Sound at the Contemporary Art Research Center of CAFA Art Museum in Beijing, and Ordinary Resonance: Principles of Self-Generated Sound at Shanxi Contemporary Art Museum.
This work reflects social changes brought by urban expansion and life after the pandemic.
It draws on two music styles, Mukam and jazz. These styles have fixed musical structures but allow free, improvised singing.
With bold, free colors and light, the artwork aims to awaken people’s inner spiritual energy.
