Lines Within is part of the ongoing series Astrattismi Analitici, where abstraction becomes a process of analysis, interruption, and reconstruction. The work explores unstable systems of connection through layered marks, provisional structures, and material interventions.
Drawn lines and shifting color fields suggest internal mappings or fragmented forms that continuously emerge and dissolve. Wool thread extends the drawn gesture into physical space, functioning simultaneously as connection, tension, and obstruction. The inclusion of a reclaimed plastic bottle cap introduces an element of displacement within the composition, bringing traces of everyday material culture into dialogue with the fragile and tactile qualities of the surface.
Rather than seeking formal resolution, the work remains suspended between order and instability. Visible traces of construction, revision, and interruption reveal the image as an evolving field in which coherence is continuously negotiated rather than fixed.
