Twelve prints of an hypothetical denounce for violence, made by twelve different women. Each print has been "killed" using one of the "femminicidio" methods as published in a document by ISTAT (the Italian Statistic National Agency) (1). Starting from top left we have: beaten with a stick, run over with a car, poisoned, burned, beaten up, cut into pieces, corroded with caustic soda, drowned, stabbed, hit with a hammer, shot, strangled. The killing of the prints has really been made using the weapons described. For example, the National Shooting Club in Verona helped by shooting at the print "shot", while the poisoned print has been made by pouring an extract made from Taxus baccata, the tree of death.
Each print was made on Hosho paper (28 x 40 cm) using the traditional mokuhanga technique, and each print is unique. At the moment the works are unframed.
