Part of the cycle that translates Brahms's First Symphony into visual notation, this diptych recasts the orchestral writing in polar form: a score first mapped as a matrix of pitch and duration is rebuilt into polar coordinates, where each value radiates from a centre and colour stands for frequency and rhythm. What begins as analytical rigour becomes a field to be read as an image. Like the other works in the project, it is not a fixed object but a plastic score: a surface that musicians can interpret and return to sound, so that each performance renews the work as a living process.
