Between Recollections

Continuing an exploration of memory and dream distortion, this

composition visualises the act of moving through memory. Each canvas (3 in total)

functions as a space in your mind containing memories, while the surrounding negative

space represents the transitions and gaps between recollections and the middle canvas

represents memories of childhood, over time being distorted/twisted into only colorful

colours symbolizing only trying to memorize the fun playful times which could feel like a

fever dream looking back while in truth the reality could be messy and completely

different. The swimming motif symbolises navigating personal memory, revisiting

fragments of childhood.
