The work
is an attempt to create one of Bauman’s identity models: a vagrant/according Bauman’s typology there are vagrants, tourists, strollers or players/. The names are directly
connected with the way identity is constructed. Here I present a vagrant. Here,
in this work, it was the first time that I used large format plexiglass boards,
whose transparency and the process of placing consecutively printed layers
allowed me to conduct an experiment and as a result, receive new graphic
values. My work was accompanied by what comes with any travel – dirt,
scratches, shifts, cracks as well as views of landscape looming through train
windows. Construction of one’s identity is a dynamic process. That is why we
can find mobility, movement and
readiness for changes.
