Captured by the incredible detail of the flowers depicted in the painting Primavera by Botticelli, I reflected upon the incredible variety of flowers in nature and how each of them has their own kind of beauty. Beauty has different forms and cannot be uniformed in a single way. This is how I started to work on my Blooming collection, a collection of tapestries inspired by flowers, not trying to faithfully represent them, but to interpret their singular kind of beauty in each different tapestry. During the creative process I felt very intense emotions, it was like being wrapped in a cloud of colours that were blending all around me. This version of one of my tulip designs draws upon warm white and creamy shades. The applied techniques are tufting, embroidery, latch-hook and felting..
