Captured by the vibrant colours of the Dutch tulips last Spring, I reflected upon the incredible variety of flowers in nature and how each of them has their own kind of beauty. Beauty has different forms and cannot be uniformed in a single way. This is how I started to work on my Blooming collection, a collection of tapestries inspired by flowers, not trying to represent them, but to interpret their singular kind of beauty in each different tapestry. During the creative process I felt very intense emotions, it was like being wrapped in a cloud of colours that were blending all around me. The name Formosa comes from an existent type of tulip. In the colour choices I focused on yellow and other pop colours. The applied techniques are tufting, crochet, embroidery, felting and latch-hook.
