Pedro Ramalho (b. 1969, Oliveira de Azeméis, Portugal) is a contemporary artist based in Bath, UK. Working primarily with oil paint, oil pastel, and mixed media, his practice explores memory, dreams, pain, and the psychological spaces between reality and imagination. His work often draws on autobiographical references, from childhood environments to lived experiences with fibromyalgia, weaving symbolism and emotional resonance into visually powerful narratives.
Pedro holds both a BA (Hons) and an MA (Hons) in Fine Art from Bath Spa University. A full-time artist, he has exhibited widely in solo and group shows across the UK and internationally, and he regularly participates in curated art fairs. He completed a year-long residency at Little Damage Robot, curated the exhibition Fibromyalgia Perspectives at Fringe Arts Bath (2024), and founded the Society Pills Art Fair (2020). His achievements include being twice honoured with the Bath Mayor’s Achievement Award and being featured as one of six rising stars in Closeup Magazine (2023).
His work is held in private collections in the UK, France, Tokyo, Portugal, and the Netherlands, and he has been interviewed by Bath Magazine and Correio de Azeméis. Pedro continues to develop new projects while seeking gallery representation to expand his international presence.
