Vittorio Mandelli is an Italian artist and craftsman born in Varese on June 1994.
From a young age, he developed a deep connection with nature and a unique sensitivity toward wood, which has become the central element of his artistic exploration. His passion began with the creation of “Gallo,” a sculpture carved from a V-shaped tree trunk, marking the beginning of his journey into the world of sculpture.
His approach to working with wood is defined by a deep respect for the material and its story. Mandelli doesn’t simply shape wood—he explores its tactile and sensory qualities, creating pieces that reflect an intimate dialogue between the artist and the raw material.
His work is a continuous experiment that blends tradition and innovation, honoring techniques passed down from his grandparents while embracing a contemporary vision.
His creations range from sculpture to design, with a strong connection to the local territory and a particular focus on sustainability. Each piece is unique and tells a story, an emotion, an idea
Mandelli resists labels and fixed definitions; when asked what he does, his simple and telling response is: “I make things.” This phrase captures the spirit of his creative freedom and refusal to be confined by categories.
