The artwork was created through a multi-stage process involving several generative AI tools and subsequent digital post-production, then produced as an archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic paper. The paper’s subtle metallic sheen enhances the layered textures, muted neutral tones, and deep red accents, allowing the image to respond gently to changes in light.

The artwork brings together visual echoes of different cultural traditions without assigning the figure to any single nationality or place. Elements of the face, clothing, ornament, and landscape form an imagined visual space in which different histories and influences coexist.
Without Alignment reflects on identity as something layered and continually evolving—shaped by inherited memory, migration, cultural exchange, and imagination. Rather than asking where the figure belongs, the work considers whether belonging can exist without a single fixed definition. Here, ambiguity is presented not as uncertainty, but as a form of wholeness.
