Sevelana is the artistic name of Svetlana Kizereva, a Moscow-based interdisciplinary artist and interior designer whose practice explores time, memory, identity, and the experience of living through profound technological and cultural change.
Working at the intersection of photography, generative and digital image-making, architectural thinking, and contemporary visual culture, she creates poetic visual narratives that explore the relationship between personal experience, perception, and collective cultural memory.
Having lived through the transition from an analogue world to one shaped by digital technologies, global networks, and generative tools, Kizereva reflects on how rapidly changing environments influence attention, memory, self-perception, and the construction of identity. Her interest lies not in technology itself, but in the human condition within a world of expanding possibilities, constant choice, and transformation.
Her work draws inspiration from architecture, photography, material textures, Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi philosophy, and the visual traditions of East Asia. Through layered imagery and carefully constructed visual metaphors, she explores states of transition, contemplation, ambiguity, and inner transformation.
In 2026, her work Mirai. Time of Possibilities, from the series Within Time, was selected as one of the 12 shortlisted works for Canvas of the Future 2026, presented during the AI for Good Global Summit, organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations agency for digital technologies.
