Colour is almost entirely withdrawn. What remains — a red fringe cutting across the face, obscuring identity — becomes the only statement the image needs to make. The white shirt, the black tie, the elaborate architecture of white hair above: all formal, all controlled, all familiar. The red interrupts. Prototype 01 explores what happens when a single chromatic decision carries the entire weight of an image — and whether identity can be simultaneously constructed and concealed.
Prototype 01 is part of Primary Colours, a series exploring the intersection of photography, digital intervention and physical image-making.
