For the daughter of the wind
in two winters (2024 and 2025) Kg Augenstern created a serie
of works in the frame of a long term research about the influence of art and
ritual on electromagnetic fields.
This research took place on a windy volcanic island south of
Sicily.
"For the daughter of wind" reminds of a pagan
ceremony, held at a remote flat round ritual place in the mountains with a tall
stone right in the center and a place for sacrifices beside. The place is
surrounded by steaming volcanic holes. The title refers to the name of the
island "Pantelleria", which originates from the arabic "bent
el-rhià": daughter of the wind.
