Desconnectat

Desconnectat is a single-channel multimedia video work integrating AI-assisted motion graphics, p5.js generative code, and two contrasting original musical scores. Made in response to a real experience of betrayal and infidelity, it documents the psychological erosion of being the last one to know, the agonizing space between intuition and hidden truth and the overthinking that fills it.

Built from a visual vocabulary of clinical surveillance, corrupted data, and anatomical imagery, human emotional states map directly onto technological failure. A woman on the phone burns with the slow rage of being unheard, present and erased at once. Faceless figures dissolve into glitch static while a central figure in a VR headset inflicts precise damage he cannot see. Original lyric fragments scroll simultaneously across the frame in Catalan and English via a live code sketch, mirroring the parallel tracks of grief and everyday life. Spanning the vast distance between Boston and Barcelona, Desconnectat unifies still imagery, motion, and audio into a visceral 2-minute narrative arc exploring the transatlantic trauma of a fractured reality.
