Imprint of a Memory explores the subtle yet profound traces left by presence, touch, and time—echoes of encounters that shape both the self and the world around us. In these sculptural glass works, the ephemeral becomes visible. Memory is not fixed; it is fluid, refracted, and carried across space like light through translucent matter.
Each piece in the installation echoes a moment experienced, a surface touched, an encounter quietly held within the body. It asks: do we leave a memory in the object we meet, or does that object inscribe something into us? The scent of lavender on the breeze, the texture of bark under our fingertips, the feel of stone or wood; these sensory moments become layered within us, reawakening in unexpected ways across time and distance.
The delicate transparency of glass becomes a medium for reflection, both literal and symbolic. It holds layered shades of consciousness within, capturing fleeting impressions that might otherwise disappear. A memory of touching a fallen tree in Seattle, for example, travelled across hemispheres and through time to find new expression in the light and fragility of the material.
