Rite of Architectural Body is an investigation aiming to discover the body identity in the tribal rituals.
The project focuses on defining the relation between the body and the sacral space it is living in. In the indigenous tribes architectures assume a different role compared to our culture. First of all, it does not use the same inseparable physicalness as in our architectural practice. In fact, in the western cultural praxis, architectures set the people social roles. Instead, for these tribes, roles are what define a spatial partition that can be express as a body architecture. The white and the blue color highlight the sacral spatial areas presented in the rituals and they are referable to spiritual and divine entities.
Warrior’s Rite Sculpture
In this type of ritual the greatest attention is paid to the choice of a specific spatial arrangement is decided by the rank to which the various individuals of the tribe belong. Being a ritual in which warriors are celebrated, the greatest attention is focused on the warriors, who dance in a circle delimiting a sacred space. During the ritual, the two or more circles meet each other, causing bodily strife.
