Rite of Architectural Body is an investigation aiming to discover the body identity in the tribal rituals.
The project focuses on defining the relation between the body and the sacral space it is living in. In the indigenous tribes architectures assume a different role compared to our culture. First of all, it does not use the same inseparable physicalness as in our architectural practice. In fact, in the western cultural praxis, architectures set the people social roles. Instead, for these tribes, roles are what define a spatial partition that can be express as a body architecture. The white and the blue color highlight the sacral spatial areas presented in the rituals and they are referable to spiritual and divine entities.
Sacred Rite Sculpture
The sacred ritual presents itself as a moment of union between the individuals of the community who together reach an altered state of consciousness, accompanied by shamans or spiritual leaders. The purpose of the ritual is to pay homage to and come into contact with the spirits of the deceased.
