Ressembling a huge rag of flesh, like skins sown together, this turns the inside out, makes uncomfortable and confronts us with our own vulnerability and death. It is also all our skin, our common flesh, underneath all our individualist natures we are the same : human beings.
Within the current version of the piece, small screens are embedded within the flesh, showing scenes of war and distraction. Arbitrary and random relating to the casualness with which have fused with on-screen-consumption and with which we consume gruesome, disturbing images of violence happening to real people, destroying real lives and random distractions alike. The remoteness of life through screens which at the same time is again rooted in flesh and bones.
