The installation explores mechanisms within our culture of communication, such as feelings of powerlessness, selfishness or misunderstandings. The balloon, attached to a newspaper article, is kept constantly in the centre by the air currents from the seven hair dryers on the table.
This creates a chaotic, unpredictable movement that visualises the phenomenon of this discussion process.
The feat of keeping the objects centred can be interpreted both as a sign of a balanced debate and as a discussion in which blame is deliberately shifted. These interpretations may be underpinned by feelings of tension or satisfaction.
