This work transforms punctuation marks into a reflection on human relationships and the way we perceive masculine and feminine identities. Two simplified figures emerge from the forms of an exclamation mark and a question mark — symbols that suggest two contrasting attitudes: certainty and curiosity, affirmation and doubt.
The exclamation mark represents a more assertive presence, while the question mark evokes a more introspective and questioning character. Through these symbolic forms, the work reflects on the contrasts and complementarities often associated with masculine and feminine perceptions, while leaving space for personal interpretation.
The two figures engage in a silent exchange: one declares, the other questions; one expresses, the other searches. Their relationship unfolds through presence, gesture, and the tension between difference and connection.
Created from laser-cut silhouettes and printed on brushed gold aluminium, the work combines minimalist form, light, and symbolism. The simplicity of the composition allows the viewer to reflect on the roles, expectations, and dynamics that shape human relationships.
