"Baked Into Wisdom" is a conceptual installation that speaks about education and maturity. The exhibited brains are entirely made out of bread and there is a story behind them.
In romanian language, to be "Copt la minte" figurately means to be mentally mature, experienced, and responsible, while it's literal sense is to be "oven-baked minded", like bread.
So, I played with words and flour to make a point: maturity is a process. In children, the mind is like a piece of dough, and learning is joyful mental knead. Later, the grown-up continues their journey of self-development through life experience and information accumulation.
The bread-brains were symbolically baked in oven, on a fire fueled by books.
"Baked Into Wisdom" installation also presents a video performance that playfully introduces the viewer to the concept of this work.
