„The Face of Humiliation" is entirely created by boot prints and it portrays the trauma of being stepped on.
The chosen technique was concept driven and it was made as a transition from being stepped on to literally stepping on a physical surface.
There is a well known connection between being humiliated and a distorted self-perception within the victim. In other words, the individual subjected to constant aggression loses his usual sense of identity and begins to perceive themselves as an accumulation of wounds. The self-image of a profoundly humiliated individual appears fractured, chaotic and it's painted in dirty shades.
*The artwork is designed to be perceived differently depending on the distance from which it is viewed: when looked at from up close, it appears as a dirty agglomeration of boot prints, but as the viewer moves away, the image progressively comes together to form a human portrait.
