Transformation through superimposition – when photography and painting merge into a new, independent work of art.

To do this, the photo of an old chair from the attic of the Graz town hall is digitally combined with the photo of the completed painting called Kraft-Weisheit-Gelassenheit (Strength Wisdom Serenity). In this way, an independent, hybrid work is created that makes a further stage of the artistic transformation visible and systematically continues the process of artistic condensation.

This work was the main image for the exhibition "Auslöser - Vom Impuls zum Bild" in the Graz town hall: https://kulturvermittlung.org/veranstaltungen/evelyn-fasch/ The image Strength Wisdom Serenity was inspired by the Serenity Prayer and has been behind my workstation in the office in the Graz town hall for many years. I shall retire in july 2026. So "What next?": Who will sit on the chair when I leave? What are my next activities?
