“Trouble narcissique” is part of the “Reflections” series that I began two years ago, as an extension of my research on shadows, reflections, and their distortions.
The entire “Reflections” series explores the ambiguity of meaning—what we see and what we think—and thus each person’s own perception and interpretation of the image.
I like to call it “aqua-réellel,” because it is real… water and its reflections.
These images were created by the elements—light, wind, current, and the seasons—along with my work on colors and contrasts.
These are ephemeral natural ready-mades that I seek out, capture, and release—not as a photography, but as an “image,” a unsettling image that challenges our perceptions,
The title “narcissistic disorder” (narcissistic disorder) should help us understand what is reflected: a disturbed self-portrait !
Whatever the concept, the main point remains: does this composition first convey an emotion, pulses, and only then a reflection?
