" Le roi des fous" is part of the “Reflections” series that I began two years ago, as an extension of my research on shadows, reflections, and their distortions.
The entire “Reflections” series explores the ambiguity of meaning—what we see and what we think—and thus each person’s own perception and interpretation of the image.
I like to call it “aqua-real,” because it is real… water and its reflections.
These images are the result of the interplay between the elements—light, wind, currents, and the seasons—and my exploration of the colors and contrasts of reflections on the water
These are ephemeral natural ready-mades that I seek out, capture, and release—not as a photography, but as an “image,” a haunting image that challenges our perceptions,
“Le roi des fous” ( the king of fools ) refers to the jester who became king
Whatever the concept, the main point remains: does this composition first and foremost convey an emotion, pulses, and only then a reflection ?
