This is a hunting exercise. I hunt the passerby when he/she crosses to the light, exposed in front of me. In that passing from light to darkness, each individual crossing that space remains. I want to keep them there, existing in the memory of time, where they wait to be devoured by the obscurity that’s just a few steps away, then to disappear.
In what we can and cannot see, there’s a transmutation in behavior, gestures, one’s self. I photograph that instant where existence is revealed to me, but without words.
