In
the photographic work "Summer Front" the author captures a fundamental
contradiction between the meaning of the word "freedom" and the behavior
associated with it.
For the
collective imagination, "SUMMER" is synonymous with "FREEDOM",
liberation from standards and conventions is instead apparently denied
by the common use of a mass-produced and widespread product represented
by seaside residences.
The
author's gaze stops on the summer facades of the buildings on the
seafront, reproducing the rigid geometries, the order and disorder
typical of the Man who generated them. The strong colors of the facades are just an illusion under which the grayness of a globalized world is hidden.
