Sphere is a sphere. Not a representation, projection, or approximation of one – but the complete geometric object, present in full. Every point that defines the form is encoded within the pigment; nothing has been discarded, simulated, or inferred.
A Chromagram is a colour field constructed from geometric structure – analogous to photography, but without an optical camera. Because RGB and XYZ space are mathematically equivalent, as established in RGB XYZ, spatial coordinates can be mapped directly and absolutely to chromatic values. Each colour in this work corresponds to a precise position in the 1024 × 1024 × 1024 mm volume of space between the viewer and the panel. The sphere is not depicted – it is present, occupying the space between the viewer and work.
