This work documents a temporal sculpture drawn in light, exploring architectural prototyping at a 1:1 scale. Executing a pre-programmed flight, a drone transposes the digital vector lines of an architectural folly into the physical landscape. As it travels, the drone’s light simultaneously draws the architectural form while illuminating the existing terrain, placing them in direct dialogue. The resulting long-exposure photograph captures the indeterminate space between a precise digital instruction and its physical realisation—a final form shaped by creative intent, atmospheric conditions, and the limits of technological precision.
Exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Show 2025.
