Melting pop is a photographic series that aims to tell the story of second-generation immigrants in Italy. Boys and girls born in Italy to parents who arrived in this country before they were born, but who often struggle to obtain Italian citizenship because of ius sanguinis.
Each portrait tries to represent the different souls of which these young people are made: the traditions of their parents' land of origin, made up of the fabrics used as backgrounds, some elements of clothing or objects of various kinds, dialogue with elements of their everyday, contemporary life. They are the new Italians, new people for a new country.
