Beneath the Surface, The composition features cafe latte dahlias, protea. banksia, zinnia, aster, roadside weeds, thistle, wild carrot, and wild blackberry. Beneath the Surface, reveals the quiet divide between the world we present and the private dialogue we hold within. Flowers lay pressed beneath glass, water poured across the surface and distorts the form beneath, a tension between external calm and layered complexity that lives beneath.

This body of work is a reflective study of Identity in motion as we age. A pondering of midlife shifts.
It explores the space between internal dialogue and external pressure and perceptions, between who we are, and who we think we should be.
In the blur of expectation and identity, this series is a quiet reclamation, shifting our story and letting go of surface narratives to reconnect with the beauty beneath.
The works were created using florals, glass and water, photographed in natural light. Images are blurred by gushing and ripping water poured across glass, the surface in motion, causing soft distortion. Others beneath the weight of the glass, forms warped under pressure. Metaphors of ones life beauty under pressure and change.
