Illustration n8 from a still open series with the non-definitive name "Oracoli" ("Oracles").
The subjet of this drawing is Uruk, one of the oldes cities in human history, and very important one in the Sumer civilisation. The city takes the shape of a double mirrored Ziqqurat, floating over the dunes of the desert. The main feature of this illustration, compared to the others in the series, is the lack of a base: the pyramid doubles at the bottom, and the buildings and the openings occupy the entire volume. On the right side there is the cartouche with the name of the city written in the cuneiform script.
