This piece was in spired by the passing of my wife's father and grandmother. The white birds at my feet represent the two who pave passed. The crows that surround me are the ones who are still with me. Ironically enough, crows can be a symbol of death. It can be a challenge to enjoy and appreciate the loved ones that are still with me as I struggle with focusing on the fact that they will "soon" be gone as well. It's a reminder to live in the present.
