Based in Chennai, my practice is shaped by the visual and spiritual language of South Indian temple architecture. I am drawn to its sculptural pillars, symmetry, and the way these spaces guide light and movement, creating a quiet, contemplative atmosphere.
My paintings translate these experiences into a contemporary visual language through restrained greys and monochromatic tones. I explore how light interacts with stone surfaces to evoke a sense of suspended time—where the material and the metaphysical converge.
This work is a meditation on the legacy of temple artisans and the enduring harmony between artistic labor and devotion, held within the stillness of these spaces.
