The painting is about an inner search for meaning at the moment when the fear of aging becomes conscious. Time moves forward, and it cannot be stopped, just as the flow of life cannot be stopped.
But when we move beyond our external image and begin to see ourselves as part of something greater, fear gradually recedes. It is replaced by curiosity, the desire to explore ourselves and the world.
Curiosity overcomes fear.
