Part of a series where I combine two different landscapes into a single one (referenced in my artist statement). This synthesis between Bulgaria and Italy is in the form of a lavish villa, but the real places incorporated here are actually my home street in Sofia and Villa La Rotonda in Vicenza. This piece leans heavier on the nostalgia theme since it is my first painting after moving indefinitely to Italy. The lenticular cloud present in the sky looks almost like a flying saucer that could swiftly transport me back home.

L’opera fa parte di una serie in cui fondo due paesaggi diversi in uno solo (cfr. il mio artist statement). Questa sintesi tra la Bulgaria e l’Italia si presenta sotto forma di una sontuosa villa, ma i luoghi veri e propri incorporati qui sono, in realtà, la mia strada di casa a Sofia e Villa La Rotonda a Vicenza. Quest'opera è più incentrata sul tema della nostalgia di casa, trattandosi del mio primo dipinto dopo il trasferimento a tempo indeterminato in Italia. La nube lenticolare presente nel cielo ricorda quasi un disco volante, capace di riportarmi rapidamente a casa.
