The Isolating quality of water. The weightlessness like floating in space, the way it slows you, and everything around you down. The soft touches on your body. Up and down, left and right, good and bad, it does not exist underwater. The noise warps into a calming muffled humming. The way it separates one piece of land from the other. The endlessness it carries that I perceive as much more infinite than infinity itself. The stillness of the depths that are in such high contrast with the chaos of what’s happening above the shore. The world under the waterline pulls me in, I crave to live isolated from the terror and destruction afflicted by human beings. But is it good to live in such a state of oblivion?
