Poetica
Oil on canvas with metallic acrylics
50 × 70 cm • 2025
Inspired by the song Poetica by Cesare Cremonini.
Poetica reflects on the strength that arises from a profound human bond—the kind of connection that enables us to face uncertainty, solitude, and life's most difficult moments without losing hope.
The sea becomes a metaphor for existence itself: immense, unpredictable, and at times overwhelming. Like the waves that continuously crash upon the shore, life's challenges test our resilience. Yet when two souls choose to walk the journey together, vulnerability can become strength, and darkness can become a path rather than an ending.
The metallic reflections interact with light, creating subtle transformations across the painting and suggesting that emotions, memories, and relationships are never fixed but constantly evolving.
Inspired by the verses:
"Even when we're tired,
We'll find a way to navigate the darkness.
It's so easy to surrender to the waves
That crash over us."
Rather than illustrating the song, Poetica transforms its emotional essence into a visual meditation on companionship, trust, and the quiet courage to continue navigating life's sea together.
