Artist Statement
My artistic practice has evolved over more than three decades into HindsightArt, a visual language that explores perception, memory, and transformation. At its core lies the belief that an artwork should not reveal itself all at once, but unfold gradually through time, observation, and personal experience.
Working across painting, drawing, mixed media, and ceramics, I allow each work to determine the material and technique that best express its emotional and conceptual essence. Rather than considering these disciplines as separate practices, I see them as different voices within the same artistic research.
Every artwork begins with an inner dialogue. Images emerge slowly from emotions, memories, dreams, intuition, and unconscious associations, taking shape through colour, gesture, texture, and matter. The creative process is one of discovery as much as creation, where the invisible gradually becomes visible.
In HindsightArt, the visible image represents only the first level of perception. Hidden figures, symbolic elements, fragments of text, and multiple visual narratives invite viewers to move beyond first impressions. Each work asks for time, attention, and active participation, allowing meanings to evolve with every observation. Looking becomes an act of discovery, where each viewer builds a unique relationship with the artwork.
Music, poetry, nature, and Renaissance art continually nourish my imagination, enriching a symbolic visual language that balances emotion and reflection. Every technical choice arises from the expressive needs of the work, while every artwork remains an open narrative, encouraging viewers to recognize something of their own memories, emotions, and inner journey.
