The “Mirror” series draws inspiration from my travels where I like to document a large variety of places: landscape, architecture, museums. It is my way to get a grasp of the place and it is usually the starting place of a new project. The works mirror the experiences I had then, focused on a fragment which introduces the viewer in the painting, hence the preference for detailed images. When placed together, the round compositions resemble the Renaissance tondo, filtered through a personal perspective. Blue and silver colours are used to mirror glimpses of reality and sculptural shapes.

themes expIore the way we perceive the avalanche of images and information from
media, offering a reflection alternative to what we see around us, a rhythm
slowing down. The technical process is strongly tied to my vision, for the need
to develop an image in successive layers: oil on canvas brings tactility and
has the ability to model colour surfaces.
