In the artwork “Non ti scordar di me” (Forget-me-not), the natural microcosm becomes the guardian of a profound alchemical symbolism. The pairing of tiny flowers and swallows takes shape through the use of pure and ancestral pigments: natural ultramarine blue, derived from Afghan lapis lazuli, creates a dialogue with ivory black and the vibrant sacredness of cinnabar. This mercury sulfide, a primordial synthesis of sulfur and mercury, embodies the conjunction of the masculine and feminine principles toward the unity of the androgynous. The material counterpoint between the light of gold and the stability of brass thus evokes a definitive process of metallic sublimation, understood as an intimate and powerful call to resurrection.
