Technique: mixed media, variable dimensions

One of the artist's recurring fields of exploration is the concept of symbiosis — as seen in phenomena such as lichen (the coexistence of algae and fungi) or wood-decaying fungi that sustain forest ecosystems through decomposition.

She artistically examines this natural phenomenon, which serves as proof that nature is not (only) based on rivalry, but also on collaboration and companionship. By merging photography, diverse etching techniques, and ink drawing, the artist seeks to create a unique visual language while questioning the way we see and interact with our environment.

The images shown give a preview of the final piece, which is still in progress. The finished work will combine these depicted techniques and patterns, possibly resulting in a series of several pieces (in variable sizes) that can be contemplated individually while also remaining connected to one another.
