Fissures I

Fissures I explores the moment when a smooth, seemingly complete surface begins to open, revealing a contrasting interior beneath. The white ceramic exterior, finished with a transparent glaze, creates a reflective and controlled surface, while the fissures expose vivid green textures that evoke vegetation, geological strata, and organic growth. Rather than presenting the crack as damage, the work treats it as a threshold between concealment and revelation. Through this contrast between polished surface and irregular interior, the triptych reflects on how pressure, time, and transformation remain hidden beneath appearances of stability. The fissure becomes an opening through which another material state is allowed to emerge.
