Cosmic Dream

Cosmic Dream belongs to Flow, Caroline Pera's foundational series exploring the point where botanical form and the human body become indistinguishable. Working on raw, unprimed linen, she renders each ribboned surface with a sensual, almost muscular precision — folds that could be petals or drapery, a silhouette that reads as a flower from one angle and a bowed figure from another. The title points to what holds the ambiguity together: this isn't a form caught mid-transformation so much as one drifting through the associative, unfixed space of a dream, where a flower and a body can occupy the same shape without contradiction. The palette is soft — violet dissolving into bone-white and cool green — but the energy underneath is bold and deep, a quiet power that builds the longer you look. The exposed linen ground, left visible at the edges, keeps the image tethered to its own making even as the form itself refuses to settle.
