Final exhibition of the Arte Laguna Prize!

Intimacy, closeness, touch. So powerful that they define the here and now, creating a trace. In my paintings, I employ a language devoid of narrative and literalism, yet deeply rooted in personal emotions. Using my own technique of combining paint with Carrara marble, I create textures that are rough, grainy, and material—yet simultaneously open to the action of light and the senses. The creative process itself unfolds in a repetitive, almost ritualistic rhythm—like meditation, in which gesture becomes a vehicle for concentration. The work's materiality invites the viewer to move: from a distant gaze toward closeness, provoking touch. Then back again—the rhythm of zooming in and out reflects the internal rhythm of transformation. Meaning is not imposed, but reveals itself gradually, in silence, presence, and closeness.

The work was selected as a finalist for the Arte Laguna Prize and will be exhibited at the Arsenale Nord in Venice.
